Beauty lies beyond the search… Ground Lift Mediaand Arthur Banks (of Jugrnaut Chicago) are excited to entice you with an intimate single/video release party for the Chicago-based trio 1773’s newest song entitled ‘That One.’ Featuring performances by 1773, a solo vocal set by Wes Restless, and love song-centric DJ sets by Moral One, TREW, & Manny Muscles (Jugrnaut).
On a bitter cold December evening waaay back in 2009, 1773 rocked the stage alongside up-and-coming Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa for his Deal or No Deal Release Party/Tour. Uncle El over at fordafresh.blogspot.com captured the fellas as they warmed up (in all senses of the word) the sell out crowd at one of Chicago’s premier live music venues, Subterranean. Josh Elder (of Eclipse Produktions) and Milwaukee’s Lockdown Productions, in association with Chicago Marketing and PR firm Ground Lift Media, proudly present 1773’s triumphant return to Milwaukee. Back in September, they rocked BBC Upper Level with Chicago’s The Gents and Milwaukee’s Jonathan Frost. Once again, they’re bringing together some of the Midwest’s best hip-hop, this time they’re headlining the night’s festivities in support of their new album Return of the New (Soulspazm Records). Supporting them will be Chicago-via-Milwaukee MC Gerald Walker, who landed on URB’s Next 1000 list last year. 1773 joined the thousands upon thousands of people who attended this year’s Humboldt Park Puerto Rican Festival in Chicago. Chances are they were the only ones who were rapping in the middle of a crowd of strangers though! Chicago Music Project’s CMPtv filmed the fellas as they performed “Return of the New,” the title track from their upcoming full length album to be released August 2009.
Volta Masters & 1773 team up yet again for a jazzed out Hip Hop track.The lead single from the forthcoming VoltaMasters At Work 2 album, the track “Go On” is centered around a horn and piano loop with MCs Wisdm O.N.E. & Just J & DJ Itch13 (1773’s Japan Tour DJ) handling the vocals and scratches respectively.
