The show went extremely well especially considering the obstacles & life-changing events that arose last minute. So props to all the crews! Pics below. Big thanks to everyone who made it out to our release party this past Tuesday! It’s been a hectic couple weeks as we prepared for the release, what with Just J briefly touring Canada and performing at the Montreal Pop Festival! But we’re excited to be a part of Soulspazm Record’s roster and plan to make as much noise worldwide on Soulspazm as we did in Japan on River City Music Entertainment.

A selection of tracks from 1773’s upcoming sophomore album “Return of the New.” Contains the three singles released so far (“It’s On Again,” “Return of the New,” and “On the Move”) as well as “Who’s Dat?” (feat. Othello), and two bonus songs (“It’s On Again Maker Remix” & “Get Up Get Down”).
Late last month, 1773 (with a Lex L guest spot) ventured out into the industrial areas of Chicago for a photo shoot to help promote their upcoming album! Check out a sample, or the full set below…
1773 joined the thousands upon thousands of people who attended this year’s Humboldt Park Puerto Rican Festival in Chicago. Chances are they were the only ones who were rapping in the middle of a crowd of strangers though! Chicago Music Project’s CMPtv filmed the fellas as they performed “Return of the New,” the title track from their upcoming full length album to be released August 2009.
As the release date for 1773’s Return of the New approaches, the fellas decided to give their fans a taste of the new stuff on the Returning the New Stuff mixtape. You’ll find a heaping handful of exclusives, non-album cuts, b-sides, rarities, and remixes thrown in for good measure. All this was deftly mixed by DJ Itchie Fingers (Itch13) and hosted by Othello of the Lightheaded crew. Peep the DL link below complete with cover art, mp3 id tags, bpms, and the ever important EPK!
